Here's the deal: normally, you can't drive away when your EV is plugged in. This breakaway charging adapter changes that. If things get hairy, put it in drive, and get outta there, all without leaving the vehicle. Pretty cool, right?

While each adapter is a "one time use", your adapter will be replaced free of charge if you're put in a position to have to use it

The Emergency Breakaway Adapter is designed to break safely in half during an escape, so you don't harm your car or the charging station. Plus, it works seamlessly with all chargers and won't slow down your charging speed. It's a win-win for safety and convenience.

- The NACS to NACS adapter will work with the Tesla CCS adapter.

- The NACS to NACS adapter will allow the CyberTruck to utilize the Tesla CCS adapter as it extends beyond the fender wall.

- The CCS to CCS adapter will work with Non-Tesla vehicles admitted to the Tesla Charging Network using their pre-existing NACS to CCS adapters.

Shipping Restrictions

Can I qualify for free shipping?

You can qualify for free ground shipping on some orders depending on current offers or promotions. If an item does not qualify for free shipping, you will be notified at or before checkout. The following attributes may disqualify an item for free shipping eligibility:

Oversized items or items requiring special handling
Some shipments to Alaska or Hawaii
Items that are not in stock
Special orders

Why is ground shipping the only method available for order?

Due to federal transportation and shipping regulations and shipping carrier policy, some items are restricted to ground methods for home delivery.

Why is freight shipping the only method available for order?

Some items due to their size, weight, dimensions, or special handling requirements are only available to be shipped via freight.

Addresses

Can I have my order shipped to a location outside of the United States?

Evuniverse.com ships only to locations within the 50 United States. Shipment outside of the United States is not offered.

Can I have my order shipped to a different address than my home address?

Yes, you can enter a different shipping address during the checkout process.

Can I have parts shipped to an APO or FPO address?

EV Universe Inc. does not currently offer shipping to APO or FPO addresses or to any of the U.S Territories.

Can I have parts delivered to a PO Box?

Currently, all shipping from Evuniverse.com cannot be delivered to Post Office boxes. A physical street address is required.

When will I get my order?

All delivery dates shown on the site are estimates; it is not possible to guarantee a delivery date. Generally, when an order is shipped via Standard Ground, your order will arrive in 3 to 5 days (excluding weekends and holidays). The email you received confirming your shipment contains a link to tracking.

No, your charging port will remain intact. A part of the adapter will remain there after the breakaway, but it can be easily removed leaving no damage behind.

Yes – Once it’s broken it can’t be put back together manually.

However, EVject will cover the cost of your replacement if you send them a testimonial of why you had to use it and the remaining part that stayed connected in your car.

You can purchase an additional NACS to J1772 adapter and add it onto the EVject; yes, it will be a double adapter situation, but it will also give you peace of mind.

The CCS1 Combo break away adapter is expected in Q4 of 2024.

The EVject adapter is designed to break into two parts, one stays plugged into your EV’s charging port, the other stays around the charger’s head protecting it during the impact of the fall.

EVject works with your EV’s built in safety logic and only allows a breakaway (shifting out of Park) after all charging has been stopped and all electrical current is shut-off. 

The separated (and exposed) electrical pins and contacts on both the vehicle and charger wand are safe to touch and cannot be short-circuited by water.

A fun, peppy bike!

What a zippy little bike! I was surprised by how peppy it felt. It's smaller but perfect for me as I'm a senior and looking to take rides around town. Folding the bike is incredibly easy. I've been up a couple steep hills and had the bike on level 3 assist and had to work some myself but I'll be darned, we got up the hill fine. I seem to average about 12-15 mph and the wind just rushes by your ears at that speed. Satisfied so far!
